Boost Your Makeup Bag

Following my Budget Products to Make Your Makeup Work Harder post, I decided to do another similar post but without the £10 price cap. So here are my other picks for boosting my makeup.

I have spoken about my love for Benefit's Porefessional (£24.50) countless times. This product is brilliant for helping to disguise enlarged pores and helps to create a smooth, silky base for the rest of your makeup. I always carry this in my makeup bag for touch-ups throughout the day. Although I do love this, I think that I may have come across a dupe for this product. Keep your eyes peeled for that popping up on the blog over the next couple of days!

Staying in the Benefit primer family, Stay Flawless (£24.50) is the Pritt Stick of the primer world. It really holds your makeup in place all day long. I have put this on at 7am and by 9.30pm my makeup still looked freshly applied and hadn't slid down my face, gone patchy nor cakey through a day of work, public transport, running to catch buses and everything in between. I have a serious love for this stuff. It is pretty bizarre to use at first but once you get the hang of it, it is an absolute gem for days where you know that your makeup needs to stay put with minimal touching-up.

I love bareMinerals All Over Face Colour in Clear Radiance (£19.00) to give a sheer glow to your complexion. It looks so natural and is near enough impossible to over do or apply uncorrectly. Just a quick swipe across your face and done. Easy. It is great for giving your face a boost when your skin is a bit dull looking. I find myself reaching for this more often than I would probably like to if I'm being totally honest with you!

My last makeup bag booster is the Revlon PhotoReady SkinLights Face Illuminator (£11.99). I own this in two shades - Pink and Bare - and use them both on their own as liquid highlighters as well as mixing them in with foundation to help create an illuminated, fresh and beautiful complexion.

What are your makeup bag boosters?

  2. I use it as a primer, but also use it throughout the day on top of my makeup to hide my pres as they start to become visible again :)!
    Thank you :)
