The 10 Item Wardrobe Part 2

You may remember that last week I posted about the 10 Item Wardrobe mindset here. I did say in that post that I was about to sift through my clothing to dramatically decrease the level of stuff that was, well, stuffed in my drawers! After finishing the post I headed to my bedroom and emptied the contents of my drawers out and went through everything meticulously.

After lifting everything out, I put it into piles on my bed to then see exactly how many of different items I had.

Starting from the top left and working across the way we have; cardigans and jackets, jumpers, jeans, shirts and t-shirts, blouses and dressy tops, skirts, trousers, work out gear, and two piles of dresses.

While taking each item out, I was looking at the colour, shape and checking everything over for any signs of wear as well as thinking about how often I actually wear it and if I did genuinely like it or not (as you probably know, I love a charity shop bargain so there were a few questionable pieces in there!). So once everything was out, it was time to be very critical as to what was going back in again. Now what has gone back in does amount to more than 10 items, however since I am just starting out, I am going to work my wardrobe as it is for a month and see what I would need as 'extra' items to go along with my capsule pieces and to see how my items work together and what I wear as well as don't wear. So here is the list of everything which has gone back into my drawers.

So, in total for day to day wear (including the 'extra's' even though I'm not entirely sure as to what those are yet!) I have 33 items. I haven't included workout clothes or going out dresses in this list, however I have only left 3 dresses in my drawer for now and put the rest in a storage chest as they aren't the best for this time of year. It is a dramatic decrease from what I did have and there is a black bag waiting to be donated to charity as well as a few items which have been put away into a storage chest as I know that I won't wear it anytime soon but will do in the future.

I have tried my best to keep the colour palette neutral (to be honest I only had a few items which are bright anyway) I always gravitate towards black, navy and camel! I have been quite happy this first week, I do have a uniform for work so I tend to change into jeans and a jumper when I get home each day anyway. the real test is going to be neck week while I am off work and I'll be out and about all week!

So far, I am enjoying a reduced wardrobe. It has been a long time since my drawers have closed properly (I'm sure you all know that struggle!) and I can see everything that I have available easily and quickly. I did actually really enjoy going through everything too and felt great getting rid of so much! Keep tuned for another update next week!

The 10 Item Wardrobe

I can almost hear the shrieks of horror as you all read this title. I certainly winced when I first came across the concept. However upon reading further into it, I have become very intrigued. I was first introduced to the 10 Item Wardrobe in Jennifer L Scott's Lessons From Madame Chic. This is a fantastic book which I will go into in a little more detail about in another post coming soon (you can also check out her blog The Daily Connoisseur here too!). However if you don't want to read the book just yet then you can listen to Jennifer's experience and ideas in this TEDx Talks to get the gist of the concept.

As explained in this video the 10 items does not refer to everything that you can wear, it refers to the capsule wardrobe. The key pieces. You can have a few tee shirts, a couple of cardigans and your coats as well as your capsule items. Occasion wear is also exempt from the rule. It is also important to note that there is no strict rule of 10, just as long as you do not have excessive items (as I do at this present moment) then you will be on to a winner. The idea is for the items which you do have to be able to mix and match together to give a variety of outfit options without having too many items. If you have read my blog for sometime then you may recall that we live in a little flat with next to no storage space so the idea of severely cutting my clothes but leaving plenty of outfit options sounds perfect.

As you might have guessed, I am planning to embark upon my own 10 Item Wardrobe journey, This journey will be starting TODAY with me having a serious clear out. Ruthlessness is required. I am feeling slightly nervous at the prospect but I want to worry less about what to wear. Less options means less stress, I won't be overloaded with options and I want to be able to mix and match a little more and I want to have space.  I feel a mass de-clutter coming on, not only of my clothes but the rest of my, well, stuff.

With regards to my 10 Item Wardrobe, don't worry. I will take photographs of the process and will be providing frequent updates as to how it is working. Wish me luck!

Would you ever take the plunge with the 10 Item Wardrobe?

Fitness

I don't believe that I have ever covered fitness on Bonjour Emily, to be completely honest it has never been something which I was concerned about. Following problems with my knees through my school years and getting to sit out during PE classes (I'm not going to lie, that was a blessing. There aren't many 15 year old girls who can't wait for cross country in the pouring Glasgow rain!) has meant that as far as regular exercise goes my walk from the bus station to work is as good as it gets.

This has always fine with me, I have a very fast metabolism so have never carried excess weight and have always been able to eat what I want without worrying about not fitting into my jeans the next morning. But I seem to have hit a turning point; I'm slim but not fit in the slightest. I struggle to touch my toes when standing with my feet together and I'm not okay with it anymore.

I'm not going on a crash diet and I'm not going to throw myself into a serious exercise routine straight away because I am not going to give up in a couple of weeks. I'm determined to keep up, change my eating habits to healthier ones that my body is happy with and I am going to exercise.

I will never be able to run a marathon, but I want to be as fit as I can be.

French Inspiration

As you may already know, I have a degree in French and I am a self-confessed Francophile (if you didn't already know this, now you know the reasoning behind my blog name!). I adore the language, the culture, the food - you get the idea. I have an extensive collection of French films, I read more about French current affairs than the current affairs here in the UK - lets face it, I just want to be French.

As much as I love the rockabilly and pin-up look, I find myself taking my day to day style and beauty inspiration from the French. On the whole, French women are known for their effortless beauty and for being totally chic. It seems that just about every woman from anywhere else in the world looks at French women with a hint of jealous green in their eyes.

One of my ultimate women of inspiration when it comes to style is Brigitte Bardot. She seems to connect my love for the pin-up look with my adoration for French style perfectly. Always looking like a cheeky pin-up girl but never over the top or over-done. The go to girl for inspiration of a laid back beehive and feline eyeliner.

Audrey Tautou is the definition of the French gamine (most certainly emphasised by her kooky roles in some of my favourite French films - i.e. Amélie). She has the sweet, simple style which reflects the approach that most French women take - simple, quality and classy. If I could have my skin looking like Audrey's every day then I would, she has beautiful, clear skin which means that she doesn't need to wear much makeup and pretty much always looks fresh.

Carla Bruni may not be 100% French, but is of Italian descent and was raised in France and so has adopted the Frenchwoman style which works for her so perfectly. As a model, she was photographed wearing every French classic imaginable. She always presents herself immaculately and always looks effortlessly feminine. You can;t get more French than that, can you?

Who do you look to for French style inspiration?

Five Days of Fashion - Stella Jean

This is the last in the 'Five Days of Fashion' series, be sure to have a look at the other four posts too! There are some brilliant designers there too!
Last but not least is Stella Jean. If you don't feel summery enough, you will by the end of this one.

What Farfetch Say -
Stella Jean
There’s been a lot of buzz about Stella Jean lately. Her ladylike silhouettes, borrowed from the 1950s, have been dipped in hothouse colour and reimagined with wild, exuberant prints. The designer draws inspiration from both her Italian background (craftsmanship, meticulous attention to detail and dramatic shapes) and her Caribbean heritage (those exotic prints and daring colour palettes), resulting in a collection that demands second glances.

My thoughts -
Anything that has a 1950s style silhouette is always a winner with me, if you read often, you'll know that I am partial to a circle skirt now and then. Stella Jean has combined these classic shapes and certainly made them her own with bold colour and prints which remind me of the novelty prints available in the 1950s.

Clashing the colour and print of different pieces adds a modern edge to the look and certainly brings it bang up to date. Another modernisation is the jewellery, the block colours and bib style necklaces are very modern and again also work to modernise the look of the classic shapes. I can certainly see myself sporting some of Stella Jean's collection, I love the bold pieces that make a statement both on their own or when paired with another piece from the collection.

Do you like the boldness of this collection?

Five Days of Fashion - Mother of Pearl

What Farfetch Say -
Mother of Pearl
Vibrant colour ways and tongue-in-cheek insect prints have made Mother of Pearl’s slip-on sneakers one of the most coveted footwear choices of 2013. But the label’s ready-to-wear is just as bold as its accessories, with a collection of citrus prints and shopping bag stripes. Those signature patterns are inspired by the label’s collaborations with artists, distilling their work onto luxury fabrics and lending them a sport luxe feel.

My Thoughts -
Mother of Pearl's pieces are some of the most wearable from my 'Five Days of Fashion' series.
Each piece is fashionable enough that you can imagine seeing as part of a collection for H&M and nothing looking remotely out of place. I love how summery each piece looks, the bright  citrus prints are perfect for this time of year.

Colour is everywhere with Mother of Pearl's collection - just the way I like it! Bright patterns are right up my street and I can imagine each piece from this collection in my wardrobe and fitting in perfectly. The peplum top I can imagine with some cropped jeans and a pair of ballet flats with some Audrey Hepburn style sunglasses - how chic?

Do you love the summery collection but Mother of Pearl?

Five Days of Fashion - Simone Rocha

What Farfetch Say -
Simone Rocha
The closer you look, the more there is to Simone Rocha’s clothes. Sci-fi fabrics were an early signature, but her recent shows have focused more on complicated construction techniques instead. It’s a shift that saw her take home Designer of The Year at the Glamour Women of the Year Awards earlier this month, and resulted in a collection of low-slung skirts this season. For Autumn/Winter 2014 Rocha was inspired by the opulence of Queen Elizabeth I’s court, translating it into a line of embellished cocktail dresses and ruffled coats.

My Thoughts -
I love the simplicity of Simone Rocha's collection. The black, white and neutral colour palette make each piece easy to wear and easy to piece together with things in your existing wardrobe. When you look closer at each piece you can see that there is more detail than at first sight.  Just look at the beading around the shoes! How gorgeous would they look with a pair of skinny jeans?

There is a lot of work in the design and construction of the pieces in this collection which make them so flattering. I can just imagine the black circle skirt with nude shoes and a lightweight blouse for an evening out during the summer - so classy.  I also adore the lace work on the nude dress, paired with simple accessories this would look very elegant for a dressy affair.

What is your favourite Simone Rocha piece?

Five Days of Fashion - Ashish

Day 2 of my 'Five Days of Fashion' series with Farfetch is here. Today's designer is very different from yesterday's which you can see here.
Today we are looking at Ashish

What Farfetch Say -
Ashish
Indian-born Ashish Gupta has reclaimed the sequin and made it his signature. No shape is too casual: this year he encrusted torn denim and the humble plastic bag with thousands of them. Elsewhere there were old school Coco Cola logos, striped shirt dresses and louche zebra print. It was a collection that went viral immediately, thanks to the Instagram appeal of those luminescent.

My Thoughts -
This is so different. I absolutely adore the use on sequins on everything - you can't go wrong with some sparkly sequins in my mind. What I really love is the contradiction of casual shapes and styles with the sparkle giving it a but of a dressier feeling. On paper this shouldn't work, however the way that Ashish has executed the idea really does just work.

Looking at the catwalk images of this collection, I personally cannot see myself  head to toe in this kind of outfit, it is pretty full on. However, I can definitely see myself wearing a piece like a striped shirt dress and mixing it in with pieces from my wardrobe. These pieces would definitely fit in with just about any wardrobe and would easily be able to make several outfits by having a few key pieces (I'm thinking black skinny jeans, a killer pair of wedges or dress down with some Converse).

What do you think of Ashish's collection?

Five Days of Fashion - Stine Goya

Over the next five days I'll be doing something a little different on Bonjour Emily. As you can probably see from the title, it is fashion-based rather than the usual beauty. I was contacted by a company called Farfetch who asked me to look at these story boards for five different designer's collections for consideration of sharing them on my blog.
After having a look through the designer's work I was in total awe - there is some amazing design work here and I really wanted to share it with my lovely readers.

First up is Stine Goya.

What Farfetch Say -
Stine Goya
Based in Copenhagen, Stine Goya’s shattered prints bring texture to her minimalist, sculptured, and carefully constructed silhouettes. Her eponymous label is quickly becoming a favourite with fashion insiders, thanks to her wearable aesthetic and a Scandinavian appeal that is difficult to define. This season the Central St Martins graduate showed perforated tops and mosaic print jackets, worn with a single ear cuff and just the right amount of edge.

My Thoughts -
Although I would not describe myself as a 'minimalist', this collection definitely appeals to me. I love that although the shapes of the garments are quite, well, minimalist, and this somewhat contradicted by adding texture and pattern to break it up. I really like that the shape and the textures are not what you would automatically see paired together, there is a slight edge of cool without being too in your face about it. Understatedly cool and oh so chic, anything from this collection would not look out of place for a day at the office or a day out shopping, it all just works and can be worn and accessorised to fit where and when you would wear it.

I can definitely see why Stine Goya is grabbing the attention of fashion insiders at the moment, from just looking at this story board, I can imagine the editors from Elle and Vogue sporting her jackets to work. Like I said, understatedly cool and most definitely chic. I don't think that you could go wrong wearing anything from this collection, you would automatically look polished and professional, no matter where you were going.

What do you think of Stine Goya's collection?

What's in My Suitcase? - Beauty

Technically speaking this is what is in my hand luggage. But other than my Lush Ultrabland cleanser, Buffy Shower bar and Happy Hippy shower gel there isn't much other than copious amounts of sunscreen in my suitcase.

I've split my beauty products into two categories for the flight, liquid and non-liquid. Just to make it easier for packing and for getting through security.

The non-liquid bag is housing all of my dry makeup. I opted for the classic Urban Decay Naked Palette, you can't really go wrong with this one, it has every shade I will need while I am away. I also packed two of my Rimmel Scandaleyes Eyeshadow Pencils in Beige Matte and Bad Bronze to use as a base for my shadows. Another Rimmel Scandaleyes pencil made it's way in there in the form of the nude eye liner - I feel this will be used towards the end of the flight so that I don't look quite so tired with my bloodshot eyes!

As for my face, I lifted Laura Geller Balance'n'Brighten (full review here), and the Laura Geller Bronze'n'Brighten, both of these are light on the skin and are perfect for the 'no-makeup' look. I have also packed my new favourite, Lush Emotional Brilliance Powder (Lush post coming soon, don't worry!) and The Body Shop's Shimmer Waves in Blush. I wasn't going to take a highlighter initially, however my obsession for Illamasqua's Cream Highlighter in Gleam   got the better of me and so it made it's way in there too!

I have packed two solid lipsticks, both from Illamasqua in the shades Liable and Flare. Both bright, summery shades and they last brilliantly. How could I refuse?

This is where I had problems. Those plastic bags are so small and I wanted to take so much. If I'm honest I've managed to squeeze quite a bit in there anyway. Starting with makeup, I've got Lush Jackie Oates Colour Supplement, Liquid Lipstick in Ambition, Liquid Eyeliner in Control and Eyes Right Mascara. I also packed Maybelline Brow Drama Gel to tame my brows while we are away as mine can get quite unruly. Bourjois 1 Seconde Waterproof Mascara as this is a great volume boosting mascara and is a brilliant waterproof formula. Seventeen Tattoo Me Liquid Liner - my absolute favourite liquid liner, ever. It doesn't budge, so it is perfect for hot weather. I'v also packed a new addition to my concealer collection in the form of Laura Geller Real Deal Concealer which you can expect a full review of very soon! I recently tried The Body Shop's Tea Tree Primer and really like it, it feels very refreshing on the skin and I have found it to keep my Balance'n'Brighten in place all day too.

Moving on to the skincare, I have a couple of the Lush Charity Pots to use on my hands while we fly to keep them nice and soft (I have antibacterial hand wipes which are very good but dry your hands out something terrible!). The Body Shop's Elderflower Eye Gel and Vitamin E Eye Cream - the gel is amazing for soothing sore and puffy eyes and the cream is brilliant for helping to banish dark circles. Finally we have the super-amazing Lush Tea Tree Toner which it really refreshing and feels brilliant on the skin, especially when it is followed up with Lush Enzymion moisturiser. Perfect.

The only extra that I seem to have forgotten to photograph was my Lush Full of Grace Serum Bar which is really hydrating and feels really luxurious on the skin and I fully intend to smother my face in it the second I can on the flight!

What are your in-flight beauty essentials?

Orla Keily at Clarks

Oh my. I would happily take a pair of each from Orla Keily's new shoe collection for Clarks - not that I can justify paying that amount of money for a pair of shoes myself. But aren't they pretty? You can browse the collection and salivate over them here.

Vintage Hairstyle Love

As you may well know I have a love for vintage style and this love encapsulates everything from kitchens (did you see that kitchen on Antiques Roadshow tonight?!) to hairstyles. Where I may not be able to fulfill my love for retro kitchens as we rent our home and of course they can be very costly, hairstyles and circle skirts will do me for now.

I have been sporting a Joan Harris-esque up-do for my day to day and work wear; an early 1960s style up-do with lots of volume up top. It is very easy to achieve and holds brilliantly all day when you are running about; I'll do a tutorial post on how I achieve this look a little later in the week, it really is very easy.

On lazier days I lean more toward Brigitte Bardot for my inspiration, I have always loved her slightly disheveled looking hairstyles, they are so easy to create and the best part is it does not matter - in fact is actually helps - if bits fly away or start to fall out, it makes the whole style look more tactile in my eyes. I do normally prefer the more polished styles of the 40s, 50s and early 60s but there is something about this look which I have a soft spot for on my lazy days and especially when I have a curl set which is staring to fall out.

I'll finish up this cold Sunday night with some lovely pictures of beautiful vintage hairstyles which I am currently lusting over. Let me know what you think! I always love to hear from you!

Style Icons

I thought it appropriate to write a post on my personal style icons since we are in the midst of the fashion-week buzz. Almost everywhere I turn I am reading something about yet another show and yet another trend set for the spring and summer next year.

I don't follow trends and I have never really done so. Personally, I see trends as being a kind of persona to hide behind in the need to be deemed 'cool'. I've never been 'cool' in that sense.Yes, I read Elle magazine cover to cover every month, and I follow a great number of 'trendy' fashion blogs online, but I certainly don't take what they say as being gospel. I use them for inspiration - not to copy an entire 'look' so that I am bang on trend and look the same as everybody else who follows fashion trends to the letter. I enjoy incorporating elements of modern fashion alongside my adoration for pieces which may not be in magazine, but are still beautiful to me.

Moving on to what today's post is all about - My Style Icons. Below are three women whose approach to style I truly admire. I do not use them as a template to base myself on when I dress by any means, I use looks of theirs for inspiration and see what I have in my wardrobe to create a look inspired by them. It is also important to note that they are not always a source of visual inspiration but as an inspiration of my attitude towards style, dressing and living.

Audrey Hepburn

'For beautiful eyes, look for the good in others; for beautiful lips, speak only words of kindness; and for poise, walk with the knowledge that you are never alone.' Audrey Hepburn.

Audrey Hepburn tends to be on almost every style icon list somewhere. Her beauty was both effortless and natural. Whenever you come across photographs of her when she was off set and not in character her style was always kept clean and simple (although onscreen, this can also be seen). I find myself taking inspiration from Hepburn when I have a busy day planned; capri pants or cigarette legged trousers paired with ballet flats with clean and simple make up and minimal or no jewellery. Her 'less is more' approach to style and dressing makes her style timeless and classic, something which I think most woman would like to be described as.  I have always adored Audrey's bold, thick eyebrows. I always add colour to my fair 'brows to thicken them to incorporate a little bit of Audrey in my day to day look.

Even as she aged, she was still as elegant and beautiful. The prime example to stay away from plastic surgery. She truly grew old gracefully.

Dita Von Teese

'I advocate glamour. Every day. Every minute.' Dita Von Teese

Dita Von Teese is who I look to for inspiration with regards to glamour. If I am stuck for what to wear and feel that I want to channel my inner pin-up girl, I have a look through photographs of Dita and then work with my wardrobe  to create an inspired look. I adore the clean and feminine silhouette that Dita uses her clothes to accentuate so beautifully and this is something which I try to bring into my everyday dressing to include a touch of glamour into everyday dressing.

Her classic red pout and half-moon manicure both creep into my beauty regime on a regular basis. The lips more so than the manicure, but when my nails are done they are done this way. A tip what I read from Dita (I cannot for the life of me remember where but if I do come across the article again I will tweet it) was that with a little bit of powder and red lipstick you can throw on a large pair of sunglasses and you will look completely done - nobody will know that you only have your lipstick on.

Vivienne Westwood

I perhaps do not take inspiration from Vivienne Westwood in the same ways that I do Audrey Hepburn and Dita Von Teese, however she does inspire me equally as much in terms of her character and attitude. She always makes her views heard and she definitely uses her public profile to try and do good in this world. I will leave you with three of my favourite quotes of Westwood's;

'I am attracted to people who make this effort in knowing what suits them - they are individual and stylish.'

'Fashion is very important. It is life-enhancing and, like everything that gives pleasure, it is worth doing well.'

'I think it is a good thing to buy less and choose well - it's good for the environment and to be fair it's also good for me because my clothes are quite expensive.'

Vintage Style Home.

My love for vintage is not exclusive to fashion, in fact it encompasses a large part my life. From fashion, beauty, cooking, music, film and literature but also in interior design.

We currently rent our flat and so I don't want to go all out on styling the place as vintage-ly as much as I would really like to for two reasons;
1. I don't want to get pieces which fit perfectly into the flat as when we come to move they might be less practical.
2. If I get it exactly as I want, I won't want to move out and it will hinder the 'saving to buy' plans!

So, until such a time as we own a place and I give myself permission to go as vintage-styled-crazy as I wish (I'm lucky that as long as G has a computer, a couch and a television he is happy with how I decorate) I resort to pinning all of my inspiration so that I have a good mood board for when the time comes. (you can peruse my full home style board here)

The only thing with vintage styled homes is that I sometimes feel that to over-done it can look like a museum or a film set - I don't know about you but I don't want to live in either. So I like seeing a happy balance between vintage and more modern home style. I have tried to pick out some of my favourite images to show you what I really love. I have linked all of the sources of the images in the image captions.

I have already started a vintage Pyrex collection (I am too rock and roll, I know, I know.) but I definitely want to have them on show in a pretty cabinet!

My pins have told me that as far as kitchens go, I like big sinks and shades of pastel blue, turquoise and mint. They are awfully pretty though, aren't they?

I will most definitely be on the look out for mid-century modern style side boards for around the house, they are so gorgeous. (Hey, I could double up and use one for Pyrex!)

Bright and comfortable living spaces which look pretty, yet still lived in. I'm not exactly a minimalist, and living in a show home does not appeal to me.

As with living spaces, I love bright and airy bedrooms which again, still feel lived in and cosy. As well as a good floral pattern.

I hope that you like the images that I have picked out! Do you agree with me in the sense that too over-done vintage styling can be a little too much like the set of Mad Men?

Woollies at the Ready.

The weather is turning colder (well, in Glasgow at least!) and it is getting dark earlier in the evenings. I think that summer has well and truly left us now - this was of course met with a cold kicking off the beginning of my week!
As much as I love the Summertime, it was with great pleasure that I looked out my thick woolly jumpers for the colder months. I love cosy nights, watching films and drinking hot chocolate. Curling up on the couch with a fleecy blanket when it is cold outside is one of my favourite things to do. Especially when it is pouring with rain - that is of course assuming I don't need to go out in it!
There is something about getting wrapped up, hat, scarf, gloves and heavy coat and walking out into crisp air which I really adore, even better when you are almost home and remember that before you left you sat your slippers on the radiator to heat up before you get home.
I don't know about you, but I am planning on getting lots of sewing and making done over the coming months. Now that the BBQ season is over I am planning on spending my free time which was being spent sitting out reading in the sunshine making some of the projects which have found their way on to my Pinterest boards. I'm already thinking about Christmas (sorry!) and trying to get sorted early in order to save stress as December approaches. Handmade gifts and thoughtful gift baskets are going to be started very soon, in fact, I purchased some bits for a gift basket yesterday!
I am also looking forward to seeing The Lion King (my favourite Disney film - ever) on stage for the first time in Edinburgh with my Mum  next month which is a birthday treat for both of us (even though her birthday was in March and mine in August!).

What are you looking forward to in the coming months?

Vintage Style Underwear Round-up

Hello again! So you might have read my post yesterday where I shared my recent vintage underwear purchases. If not, you can read it here.
As I said yesterday, today's post is for those still unconvinced about venturing into the underwear section of vintage clothes (or if you just want to do some underwear shopping!).

So let's get started! First up are my top picks from What Katie Did which if you haven't heard of before are a British company who are known for their vintage style underwear - I want one of absolutely everything! The company also have a great story which you can read here, on the companies timeline.

This is the black satin Maitresse Bullet Bra, which I adore. It is also available in white, but I personally prefer the black.

There are more items available in this range such as knickers and suspender belts, so why not treat yourself to a full set?

Here is a beautiful girdle very similar to my St Michaels one which I posted yesterday! You can also purchase the sheer gloves in the above photograph from their accessories section - very Dita Von Teese!

Another company to look at with regards to vintage style underwear are Kiss Me Deadly - which are another British based company. I want each of their collections if I am completely honest with you, they are all so beautiful!

This is the Ida collection, I do like a big of leopard print every so often! I love the deep band on the bra too, it just looks so comfortable!

The Amelie collection is also beautiful - the combination of nude with white lace is such a pretty one!

This is quite possibly my favourite - Virgin Lace bralet and briefs. I love the lace and the shape of the bralet. I think that this set is very sweet.

So that is my round up of pretty vintage-style undies. As I said, I want one of everything from both What Katie Did and Kiss Me Deadly. Ok, maybe more than one of everything. But still.

Are there any other companies which you love? I'm always on the lookout so I'd love to know!

Until next time!
